On Thursday South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) councillors confirmed Cambridge Sport Lakes Trust (CSLT) as their preferred bidder to run Milton Country Park. Work will now start for the transfer to take place by early next year. Under the Trust's plans the park would continue to provide existing amenities and expand on the range of activities available for visitors. With the support of a one-off £250,000 payment from SCDC, the Trust proposes to take on the Park's existing staff, managing the Park with them plus assistance from volunteers and partnership organisations. read more ...

A report published today recommends that South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) agree to the selection of Cambridge Sports Lakes Trust to run Milton Country Park. A final decision will be made at the full council meeting next Thursday. read more ...

the campaign at Milton Village Fayre

Today the campaign had a stall at Milton Village Fayre to promote our Pledge for the Park campaign. We collected £125 per year of pledges, plus Gift Aid which adds another £35.25. This brings our total pledged thus far, including Gift Aid, to £12,943.19 per year plus £6,119.45 in one off donations. read more ...
